A great optional addition to this wireless monitor that needs a 12V power and ground using a plug. This heavy duty 12V cigarette light will work with any car. The longer cables allow you to find a comfortable spot when wiring.
A: Not every kit has a cigarette lighter adapter, the cigarette lighter is an add on item sold separately.
Q: About trigger wire
A: Brown, Purple, Green, Yellow, Blue. These lines are trigger lines and do not need to be connected for normal use.
Q: How do I run wires for the backup camera?
A: Run the backup camera power and video cable through the hole in your car’s interior. Locate your vehicle’s reverse light wires. Remove both the positive and negative wires from your rear lights (make sure your car is powered off before you do this).
Q: What color is the reverse signal wire?
A: The red wire transmits the reverse signal to the front of the vehicle. The camera end contains two wires, one red and one black, with the red wire linked to the reverse light and the black wire attached to ground.
Q: Will using my vehicles battery as a power source affect the system?
A: It would not harm the system, but if the unit is left on all the time, you risk exhausting your vehicle’s battery. We strongly advise that a switch be installed on the line.
Q: What vehicles can this AHD backup camera system be applied for?
A: This system could be applied for large vehicles like RV, trailer, truck, harvester, navvy, farm, forklift, crane and planter, etc.
